In celebration of German heritage and traditions, we will be celebrating the 10th Annual Parker Oktoberfest. The annual fundraising cultural event will feature live German music, Bavarian dancers, a Biergarten featuring three Paulaner beers – Hefeweizen, Oktoberfest Marzen, and Premium Pilsener, a number of competitions, and delicious German food
Kingdom Praise Festival
The CASC co-sponsors this third annual event held outdoors just off of main street. A full day of rejoicing through the music and singing of praise based performers. Held at the Victorian Peaks Outdoor stage, plan your downtown walk to take in the performances
The Summer/Fall play line up brings us Clarence Darrow. Daivd Casiano shares this timeless and enduring classic about the March sisters’ journey from childhood to maturity during the American Civil War. Audiences of all generations will enjoy acquainting — or reacquainting — themselves with the sisters. Venue to be determined- Show to be exceptional!
Parker Task Force Christmas
The CASC helps the annual Parker Task Force Christmas Food Drive held at the Parker Recreation Fieldhouse. We have an in to the North Pole, where Santa heeds our call each year to make his grand appearance. We also round up the singers from far and near for caroling the Fieldhouse entry and lots, while kids and families arrive for the day.
Parker Christmas Carriage Parade
Every holiday season, the Parker Chamber of Commerce holds the annual Carriage Parade. We participate in the parade day as well as supplying entertainment for the evening carriage ride season on weekend nights. Parker is such a wonderful place to be during the holidays as well anywhere you want to venture out to in greater metro area.
Youth Karaoke / Year Round
Who doesn’t love to sing a favorite song. Our developing youth gather once per month at Takoda’s Bar and Grill (First Tuesday) to hone their skills of stage performance. Karaoke is not only fun, but great way for kids to stretch themselves outside the normal comfort zone. Come on by, it’s the perfect family night.
The CASC is made up of nine board members and four officers. We are a very experienced group with various business backgrounds, but most importantly years and years of community involvement.
As the former Parker Arts Council, we have an established history of 10 years in the community for bringing some of the finest community theatre to the area in addition to musical performances that enhance our area.
We are branching further out to the sciences by offering programs in astronomy, local robotics and soon in the world of bee’s! We’re looking to build our science programs up to be one of the leading programs in the state for both youth and adults.
Within every community, there needs to be culture and cultural awareness. Our two fundraising programs bring just that to our community. We have two celebrations each year that bring out the flavor of true cultural heritage.
